Three categories of load：

Perceptual load:

That is, compared with the power supply, when the load current lags behind the load voltage has a phase difference, the load is inductive (such as the load is motor, transformer). Inductive load, that is, the nature of inductance, (magnetic field, current can not be abrupt).

Capacitive load:

That is, compared with the power supply, when the load current leads the load voltage by a phase difference, the load is capacitive (such as the load is a compensation capacitor).Capacitive load, that is, the property of capacitance, (charge and discharge, voltage can not change).In the hybrid circuit, the capacitive reactance is large, and the capacitive circuit is inductive.

Resistive load:

That is, compared with the power supply, when the load current and voltage has no phase difference, the load is resistive (such as incandescent l electric furnace).
